@toicontienApr 14.2003 — This first one is where I started out at, but I've heard many good things about Eric Meyer:

@George_in_TXApr 14.2003 — Just my humble opinion of course but if Eric Meyer told me the sun was shining I'd put on my raincoat!

W3schools is always good but if you're looking for something really basic try:

Good luck! CSS can be tricky at first but if you master it you'll gain so much control over how your pages look you'll be amazed!

@DariaApr 15.2003 — I started with htmlgoodies, but moved on to w3schools.

There is a great option of modifiable (did I spell it right?) examples - when you learn, it's great to see on-screen what happens when you change the code yourself...

@nkaisareApr 15.2003 — HTML goodies examples have a lot of errors. W3Schools, though have an odd error or two, are much better.

You are free to have your own opinion. But in general, if there is a suggestion from Eric Meyer and another from John Doe, more people are likely to go with Eric.

Only point where I agree with you ?

They are nice, but a month later, you'll have to "unlearn" some things that htmlgoodies taught you. Too many loose ends in those tutorials.

IMHO, if you want to learn something, don't take shortcuts. Flashback to 1980s... Kernighan Ritchie was most difficult to read book on programming in C, and the most famous.
