Hey you all. I am new to this board, and I was wondering if anyone knew any code for a basic message board or where I could find it. The only thing that I would require is a basic way to load messages on to the website without having to update every day with e-mail. I would also need a way to monitor posts. I am the webmaster for a high school club and one of the wanted items is a message board. Seeing as it is a high school website, I will use a password protected area and a language filter. If you would happen to know where I could find powerful versions of these, it would be much appreciated. Thank you very much. Later Days… ?

@Wiz_CreationsAug 31.2005 — http://www.proboards.com/ looks good. I just did a quick search and found it. I can't remember the one that my LAN club used last year, but this looks similar.

@jeffy777Aug 31.2005 — Well, you can't do it just with javascript. Do you have php/mysql on the server? If so you can install phpbb (it's free open-source software) or something simiiar. If not, you can use one of the free message boards/forums that are hosted elsewhere and you can just link to it or display it in an iframe on your site. I know http://www.ezboard.com/ is a popular as far as free hosted ones go. The only problem with the free ones are that they usually have annoying advertisements. So if you can, I would install [URL=http://phpbb.com]phpbb[/URL] if I were you so that it's on your own server and you have total control over it.
