Search the web

Hi,

I used the Search the web script http://javascript.internet.com and am doing something wrong but I can’t figure out what. I keep getting a 404. I tried searching this forum and couldn’t find the same question so hopefully I’m not duplicatiing it.

My source can be viewed at http://www.digitalpagesinc.com/search.htm

I would have posted the code but the forum page length would have been exceeded by 4K.

Thanks,

Dan Foley

@karayanAug 28.2005 — Without looking into the code in detail, seems to me that some of the lines on the pull-down menu should be disabled. For example, the very first line, "Search The Web" and the next one, "Popular----", should not be allowable choices. If I type some text in the search window, but not select an actual search engine from the menu, it comes back with error 404 - file not found. Your script should generate the list of options with the option headings (Search the web, popular----, etc.) as disabled.
