include and require functions?

Whats the difference between them. As far as I can tell they are the exact same.

@NogDogAug 11.2005 — From http://www.php.net/require :
require() and include() are identical in every way except how they handle failure. include() produces a Warning while require() results in a Fatal Error. In other words, don't hesitate to use require() if you want a missing file to halt processing of the page. include() does not behave this way, the script will continue regardless.[/quote]

@BeachSideAug 11.2005 — To add on to NogDog's response, don't forget about require_once() and include_once()

These are nice if you have many levels of includes and don't want to step on a previously included file.
