Creating and accessing objects dynamically.

Hi everyone,

I have a page that gets created dynamically using PHP and MySQL.
The PHP page creates lots of check boxes and gives each one a unique name.
An onclick event is fired to a javascript function for each check box which passes the name of the checkbox as one of the parameters.

What i want to be able to do is access the checkbox object from the javascript function, but because all the checkboxes pass through the same function i’m having troubles figuring out how to do it.

Here is the javascript function.

function testclick(objname)
{
// This is what i wanted to do
var checkbox = “document.all.” + objname +”.checked”;
// Then i can check the sate
if(checkbox)
alert(“its checked”);
}

but this doesn’t work.

I’m new to javascript, so any help would be great.

Thanks,

Jai ?

@jai2001authorAug 10.2005 — don't worry, it is easier than i thought

function testclick(objname)

{

if(document.all[objname].checked)
alert("checked");

}

javascript is beautifull isn't it.
