Layer going behind form objects

Hi,

I have a senario where in there are 20 drop down boxes in a page which are placed in a table which has five columns, each row containing 2 drop down boxes in column 2 & 5. Totally 10 rows in the table. The content in each drop down box is too long, so a width is set for the drop down box to ensure the presentation of the page does not get screwed up. However the user would like to see the entire content of the selected value. I tried to use tool tip which will display the complete value. I see that the layer goes behind the next form field. Is there a way that we can make sure layers do not go behind form objects? Incase if you have a solution, please let me. This a bit urgent…

@felgallJul 31.2005 — Internet Explorer assigns drop down lists (and some other form fields) to a layer of + infinity which means that everything else goes behind them. The only way to solve this is to either keep your animations away from forms or to hide the form fields when you want something else to appear in that location. My page http://www.felgall.com/jstip28.htm has more info about this solution.
