Any geeky books on JAvaScript

HI I am an amateur c++ programmer. I wanted to know some info about good books on JAvascript without much emphasis on Server-side JavaScript ( but that won’t be a problem). However I did buy one book and it was too unordered. Not much importance was given to the basic concepts but rather the authors expected one to learn by just watching the examples ( the book itself started with 10 examples so see what I mean).
I would also prefer a book that teaches Java and has a small section on using JAvascript. Please try to mention the names of atleast some books since they are subject to avalability in my country(India) and since I do not like purchasing online ? .
The book should be in general intended for programmers and not teach basic concepts like variables, arrays, loops, constructs. It should be a good, realistic book. I would very much appreciate if they had problems/assignments at the end of each chapter/topic.
I’m into PHP for now but I would certainly like to learn JavaScript in advanced.

Are the two not completely different? Java has no relation to Javascript, apart from syntax similarities.

I think JavaScript mainly used (if at all) with ASP. My self-taught experience with ASP is largely that there is nothing new to learn for JavaScript as such. The learning is more to to with how JavaScript (or any other language for that matter) is used in an ASP page.
