Dragable menu items

Anyone knows how to use Javascript to create a menu that looks the one in IE in which user can click and drag to change the order of the menu items? Is this possible using Javascript? Thanks in advance.

Can you drop me some hints? Actually what I want to do is to have a menu/list which displays all the IDs of the layers found in a webpage. The user can show/hide the layers they want or even change the ordering of the layers.
