Calling a function from a <BUTTON>

I have a form on my site which has 4 text fields. When the page is loaded the ‘Save’ button is disabled. To enable it the user must click on a ‘Check’ button which will call a function to validate the field values.

It was working, but suddenly it has stopped. I think the problem is in the onClick= statement for the <BUTTON> but I cannot see the error.

At the moment, the validation code is minimal as I wanted to get this part working first before worrying about the rest.

I wasn't aware of the Error Reporting tool on the browser. I shall make a point of switching it on.

Have had a look in Tools > internet options > advanced, but nothing i tried in there worked.
