How can i show my js onclick() links in the status bar?

Hi. I write anchors like this in my application.

<td><a style=’cursor:pointer’ onclick=”window.open(‘print.php?visit.”.$visit_id.”‘, ‘pv’, ‘status=yes’)”><img src=’images/printthis.gif’ border=’0′></a></td>

what im wondering is how i can have this link show in the status bar, for debugging purposes. Thanks in advance.

onmouseover="window.status = '[whatever you want to display]'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status = '';"
