How to deactivate "going back" after logout

Hi.
I have developed a little sample application with servlets where a session is created when you call the first servlet. The session terminates by pushing the terminate button or by beeing a short period of time inactive. In both cases it has to be ensured that you are not able to go back to the previous page. Instead of the previous page an “already logged out” page could be shown to the user. I think it is not possible to realize it by using servlets (server side). But perhaps there is a chance to do it with javascript(client side)?!?
