I seen the sticky about forms, and just for clarification I wanted to ask…

Well, I know how to do the basic forms, making the text fields and all that…but I never actually used them on a site I have created. To get the email to send to me, I coded:

<form method=”post” action=”mailto:[email protected]”>
[/code]

But when I tested it and pressed submit, it just opened OE and I have to send it that way.

So to get a form not to open OE and have a user just fill it out and press send without any problems you have to know a some sort of server-side scripting such as PHP or ASP?

@CharlesJun 19.2005 — You have to use some sort of server side script. You don't have to be the one to write it. And some ISPs have such scripts available. Your's just might.

@hawaiiangurl45authorJun 19.2005 — thanks for the help, I just used the php script from the site for now, but one day I would like to create my own. (i am learning flash right now) The only problem is I created a redirection page and for some reason it keeps redirecting me to mailer.php...but i created a thankyou.html....so i dont kno why its not going back there. you can test it if you want (on my site)
