non secure headache

Hi All

Well this one is tearing my hair out? i’ve basically got some non secure items creeping on to the secure side of my site now i’ve been trying to solve this for the last 2 weeks but still can’t find exxactly whats supposed to be non secure?.

i’ve gone through all my links and there all relative, i’ve broken down the page and tested each element on https and it all works fine by themselves but as a whole something is creeping in could someone please, please solve this one for me and i’ll be able to sleep again.

@DamienMar 31.2003 — Maybe one of these options might help,

  • 1. I had that problem a while ago and what fixed it for me was to ensure the form action is a non-relative.


  • 2. Also are you using a self signed secure cert sometimes brings up that nag screen, get a cert from freessl.com and install it.


  • 3. It looks like a rewrite of oscommerce, if you add a product to the cart as a guest your brought to the sign up screen in https. There's a confirmation screen before going to the checkout, maybe if you left the https change until then it may help.
