Is there a script of some sort that forces a link to save as.
I have an excel file that I want to put a link to, but I dont want them to be able to open it directly. I want to force them to do a save as

@AdamGundryJun 13.2005 — You need to configure your server so that it sends appropriate Content-Type and Content-Disposition headers. The easiest way to do this is using a server-side script such as [url=http://www.infinitypages.com/research/download.htm]pyro's force download script[/url] (PHP) or an equivalent in another language.

@deraJun 13.2005 — i have seen people use javascript so when the user clicks on the link (onclick) it popups a message saying right click save as.
