Mix Flash with PHP/MySQL

I have read through some articles on how to utilize Flash to display text from MySQL. I have a slightly different need though.

I am looking to create a dynamic image map that based upon different conditions in my MySQL table will display differently. It seems that Flash should be able to do exactly what I want, but I am not very good with Flash beyond simplistic animations.

Basically I will need layers to display or be hidden based upon the data in my database. Is this possible? Where would I even start? Any suggestions?

@craigypMay 28.2005 — You need to know about LOADVARS in Flash.. that is where to start.. it is a whole new learning curve.. but this is a great place to check out tutorials etc in this area: http://www.sephiroth.it/tutorials.php
