google spidering

my site has a PR of 4 for my target keyword however, i have made numerous content refreshes sice the last time it was spidered and google is taking forever to respider the fresh content. is there a reason why, i need the new contetn to be recached, i have competitors creeping up on me and my refreshes are tailored to my se analysis of those competitors.

@IntensityMay 29.2005 — The higher your PR gets the more frequently it will be updated. If your site handles with New world wide changes in any given topic, you should eventually get the Google fresh bot to come to your site more often.
