joining vars for text string

Hi, I am looking for help to join a set of vars to make a string.

For example

var1=the;
var2=cat;
var3=sat;

varstring= var1 . var2 . var3; //the cat sat.

But I cant get it to work. If I use the above I get ‘undefined’

Do you know how to do it?

@David_HarrisonMay 20.2005 — Do it liks this:var1="the";
var2="cat";
var3="sat";

varstring= var1 + var2 + var3; //the cat sat.
"+" is used to concatenate variables in JavaScript, "." is used in PHP. Also, all strings have to be quoted (either double or single quotes will do).

Thanks David
