Rookie question

Hi, I just started learning how to write HTML. I just got done with some Frames tutorials, but I was wondering how most people build thier navagation bar’s on the side (usually left) like www.htmlgoodies.com, or good-tutorials.com. At first I thought they used frames, but after making my webpage with frames i’m not able to do so everything they appear to be doing, like getting my left frame to scroll with the right frame, and getting rid of borders. I know photoshop pretty well now, and I would really like to build a great interface for a website, so if anyone could point me in the direction I should be going, that would make me happy ? I have read most all of the HTML tutorials, and I must say HTML is alot easier than I first thought, but I have along way to go in web design.

@TheBearMayMay 19.2005 — Next thing to look at is probably CSS then. Try: http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp

@jmaresca2005May 19.2005 — i use tables to create html layout instead of frames. depending on you content, you can have the nav bar to the left hand side without frames. try to imagine 1table with 3 tables inside, each of 3 tables set paralelle to each other.

@Snake23xauthorMay 19.2005 — Thanks for the feedback, I just figured out that I can eliminate the frame borders, I swear I looked at every tutorial on this site and didn't see the command :p must be the sleep deprivation ? i'm gonna try out these frames for a bit to see if I can do what I wan't with them.

Sorry for the dumb questions! but I may have more to come :p i'll try to read the forums and everything before posting already answered questions.
