This javascript not working in Firefox

I have tried to implement the script at [url]http://javascript.internet.com/scrolls/news-scroller.html[/url] and it works fine in IE (PC and Mac), Safari … but it does not work in Netscape 7.2 (Mac, didn’t try PC) and Firefox (Mac, didn’t try PC).

In Firefox the items appear to scroll down the page, do seem to stay within the table borders. In Netscape, the scrolling text does not appear at all.

Any ideas of coding changes to make it work in those browsers ?

No need to misuse scripting for a simple functionality like that. No need to abuse users by making them wait for the scroller to get to the item of interest.
