php Mysql update problem?

Whats wrong with this ? it doesn’t seem to update? I reopen the database and the values didn’t change…

Connect:

[code=php]$link = mysql_connect( $theserver,$username,$password); #Connect to Database
if(!$link){ die(“Error: couldn’t connect to MySQL Server”); } #Connected or die
mysql_select_db($thedatabase) or die (“Error: Couldn’t open $thedatabase”); #Conect to database or die[/code]

Update:

If you want help, just post your sql command that is giving you the error and someone will be able to help you out.
