I am having a problem and any of your helps are really appreciated.
We are trying to make a Letters and Faxes feature on Web by incorporating the powerful editing capability of Microsoft Word into the web pages. The Word file of the letter is opened in a frame while the meta data of the letter (From, To, Ref, Language…) are displayed in another frame. But we are having problems of security: the Word file is opened directly from the server directory while we want to have a permission control of the users on the letters: some confidential letters are only viewed and edited by its creators and some power users. What we are afraid is the user can browse the server directory (full share) and read the letters from there. We wish to control both at the directory level and on the web also, if only there is a way to control by coding…
Please give any advices, even if we should reconsider our approach. Thank you!
