Whats wrong with the color in Safari???

hello ive got a problem with some color on my pages…

basically i have made up a page with a part of it looks like this…

thats how it looks in explorer…

this is how it looks in safari for the mac

for the graphics i used i used the same hexidecmal color which u can see in the top image but for some reason when its viewed in safari it looks like ive used the wrong color and you can notice where the images are rather than it blending into the background

can anyone explain this ???
