I made a style switcher with php, first. It works fine, but not when the user was currently viewing a page in the iframe, and changed the version...
My style switcher is huge, full of nasty jscript, but it works... I'll start to clean it when I'm finished with my new personal website ( new layout... will be available tonight on NesS's World ( my website ) )
Anyway, if your style switcher works with iframes, I'm a fan !!! :p

I might give it a try... But my all website is based on iframes, so... (mainly for the css, the pages get the css from the parent, allowing me to simply define the css in the parent's page, and not touching it anymore... )
Would it really be easier ? I don't know.

Can I do it without any iframes, considering my layout, and the fact that I have far over 50 pages ?
@amazing_andr3authorMay 08.2005 — #i still don't understand what is the original motivation for using iframes. I can see no benefit whatsoever. If I were you, I would get rid of them, have one css for the entire site (for each style) and I wouldn't use javascript for anything that can be done with more reliable technologies like PHP or CSS.

So you would use php include to put all the divs on the pages, and do a basic styleswitcher in php, which would then change the header and footer of the page ? Interesting. I might give it a try... But then, wouldn't it be heavier on the browser ?
Another question is the menu. You've seen my menu. I like it a lot, i don't want to change it. But if I can do it with css, I'll be extremely glad, and might want to change my whole website.. ?
