Highlighted Cell Backgrounds?

Over on the left, when you roll over the table with the links the cells backgrounds changes along with the font.

i try to change the color of the background of the cells but only ends up highlighting the text in the cells.

Anyone?

@ffurnaiMay 05.2005 — Is what you're really looking for a way to have navigation that looks like that or are you just curious on how to make an element change background color when hovered over?

If the Navigation effect is what you're looking for there are better ways to do it than how they're doing it.

When i rollover the link within my table i want it to change the text as well as the background color.

I have this

a:hover { color: blue; text-decoration: underline; background: white}

which in turn only changes the background of the text in the table.

I want to change the cells background color when i rollover the link.

Just like the table on the main page here on the left.
