Retrieve Computer Name

Does anyone know a script that will allow me to retrieve a user’s computer name? I’m building a work order system, and I would like to have the form populated with the user’s computer name so that the user doesn’t need to try and find it. It would make life easier on us as it would tell us the location of the computer as well. Retrieving the logged in username would be great as well. Thanks in advance!

@phpnoviceApr 27.2005 — This is not possible to accomplish using a normal web page. It would be a major breach of privacy if this [u][i]were[/i][/u] possible -- not to mention that it is illegal to collect personal information (that which uniquely identifies an individual computer) without the visitor's knowledge. Several companies have gotten into trouble for this. Of course, I realize you state special circumstances. However, that does not change the facts. You'll just have to settle for asking the visitor to provide this information volutarily.
