I am not a web developer, but an acquaintance of mine has a website with a login section that is optimized only for Internet Explorer. Since I am both a Firefox guy and forgetful, it annoys me to go to the site and then have to open I.E. Is there JavaScript that would allow him to replace his statement, “Please use Internet Explorer to access this site”, with a hyperlink that states “Please click here to open this site in Internet Explorer”? This is assuming the visitor has I.E. installed. I am not so interested in how it can be done as much as being able to tell him that it CAN be done and give him some kind of pointer as to where to find the answer. If it turns out to be a fairly simple chunk of code (although I’m sure the odds of that are pretty slim), I could pass that on to him. Thanks.
