Downloads in PHP?

On my site I want to put linked downloads to zip files, however I need to save the pages as dot php for php include code, I’m aware there is an html include code but I’m not bothering to change all my files to html with the html include code and so on now…

Anyway in summary the downloads don’t work and I’m assuming it’s cuz I’m using links to downloads in HTML and the files are dot php so anyone know a php download code or any ideas why it isn’t working?

A link is a link, regardless of how the page was generated before being sent to the user's browser. (Or, more likely, I'm not understanding what the real problem/question is here.)

@nixApr 22.2005 — nooblet, you said it's in a zip file right? then if it is, it doesn't matter, because the person downloading will be able to open the php files no problem once they extract them. However, if you want to be able to download .php files so others can view the source code, I can do that. it just requires a bit of code and you can download it. but I've only tried it on my local server so it might not work on "real" servers.
