Simple function problem
function IfZero(num) {
var num;
var theFirstChar;
theFirstChar = num.substring(0,1);
if (theFirstChar = “0”) {
num.replace(“0″,””);
}
return num;
}

paris = “05”
paris = IfZero(paris);
Thats basically what I’m doing with my function, however I’m getting this error

“num.substring is not a function”

Could someone tell me this quick fix? Thanks!
