question about searching strings..

So I sort of did a search in this section on what i’m looking for…but i’m not all that clear on php so i wasn’t sure what to search for or if what i had put into the search was right…but…the reason i’m posting here is because i found this
[url]http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=42980[/url] thread in the javascript section through google…anyways…i sort of want to do the same thing…actually…i want to sort of write a script that collects usernames from Vbulletin message boards…right now i’m playing around with a dynamically generated image that shows the users ip address…and wanted to use the results of this question to show them their username as well…posible?
