Please Help…forcing a page to refresh in browser.

Hi Everyone

Im a novice here so excuse me but I have a basic problem:
Im doing a website at [url]www.officialfragrances.com[/url] Everything is fine. I have a javascript menu. When I press the back button on the browser…the menu doesnt reload.

My question is..is there any way around this…can I force the page to refresh when someone goes ‘back’ in the browser?

I would really appreciate your help on this one!

@BonRougeMar 28.2005 — I realise that it might seem like a hassle, but I think the best think to do is change your menu. If you have a pure js menu, anyone without javascript enabled won't be able to get around your site.

Is Javascript really no good to use?...I see a lot of big websites out there using it...

I may try and overstep my knowledge and use the check browser behaviour and offer a different page for no javas?

The Suckerfish menu in the link isn't pretty, but you can make css menus like that look really good - you just need to play around with fonts, background colours, text colours and whatever else.

Suckerfish menus actually use javascript too (for IE - Firefox doesn't need it), but the top level will work fine anywhere...

...but you know, if you want to use the js menu, it's up to you. My advice would be not to, but it's your site... ?
