Hey all, I’m new to this whole html java thing, and I am trying to build my own site.

I am getting a bit confused about the .wmv thing. I’m trying to stream a .wmv file on my site, and i don’t have any idea where to start. I’m not linking this file from another webpage, it’s all home footage. It’s loaded onto my ftp server, but I can’t manage to put it on my page, let alone stream it.

Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

@spufiMar 23.2005 — Do you mean JavaScript, or Java? There is a difference.

@drumbum360Mar 24.2005 — You can put streaming videos on your site with this code:

<embed type="application/x-mplayer2" pluginspage="http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/MediaPlayer/" name="mediaplayer1" autostart="true" height="385" width="480" transparentstart="1" loop="0" controller="true" src="THIS IS WHERE YOU PUT HTTP://WWW.WHATEVER.COM/SOMETHING.WMV"></embed>

Replace the ALL CAPS part with your video path.
