I have posted before, but google isn’t indexing my site http://www.outerboxdesign.com/index.asp . I have no idea why this is, but I recently posted a link to a program I was setting up on that server, and that page got indexed! Of course I don’t need that page to be indexed…
Any tips on how to get indexed? I have tried posting my link on other sites that are indexed regulary, but no luck!
@OuterBoxauthorMar 21.2005 — #I'm thinking there may be an issue. The domain name is about 8 months old. I've having the same problem with SmartestArtist.com which is on the same server. Great results in MSN with smartestartist.com. #2 for "art supplies".
@xeno439Jul 20.2006 — #I have the same issue with one of my sites. Interestingly though, I have a PR of 6 on that site's home page. This is odd. I have over 1000 inbound links on Google too.
@fnamukNov 30.2008 — #my new website www.welcometoinsurance.com has been indexed by other sites like yahoo and msn but its not being indexed by google....any ideas

Indeed. It might take several weeks for a new website to get indexed, granted the URL has been submitted.
You could haste this by having other websites link back to you - that way, Google pays more attention, as the credibility is passed on.
@tonyponyMay 19.2011 — #You need to get some external links that Google can pick up on.
Don't waste your $$$ on the wrong kind of backlinks - They won't work.
Since Google changed the playing field simple text links are almost counter productive, and Pyramid linkbuilding is no longer worth the effort, whereas Contextural Links will get you almost immediate SERPS improvement.
Most of the backlinks you will be offered today will be either, simple text on blog profiles or blog comments.
Tens of thousands of both can be done in 24hrs using Scrapebox, and because of that Google is now giving simple text links less weight in SERPS.
If you watch the latest video by Matt Cutts, Google's own guru, you will learn that contextural backlinks now have the most value.
Contextural backlinks are links placed inside an article or blog post that are in the context of their surrounding text, so they look natural.
For example an article on firefighting might have links to a firestation URL. These are quite time consuming to create and invariably need an image to get maximum Google juice.
For anyone planning to create backlinks I recommend you to take 3 minutes to watch the Matt Cutts video on autoseosystem-dot-com
If you recognise the change he speaks about. then afterwards use their FREE software to create some contextural articles embedded with your own URL.
