How do I force a new window?

I have a form some HTML that will use PHP to perform some calculations. The calculations will be displayed in a new window. If the window is not open, the windows must be opened. If the window is alreayd open, then it should just be refreshed. How do I do this? A exact example of what is requried is this…

buy something. You see? Paypal opens a new window ( this is not part of the code in the Form.). If there is a subsequent submit, Paypal either re-opens the window ( if it has been closed ) or refreshes the existing window.

@ScleppelMar 19.2005 — i think it's being done by the target attribute in the form tag. It is 'asking' for it to be opened in a window called paypal, if it doesn't exist it makes it.

I don't think anything like this can be done with PHP because it is server side, not client side.
