Stupid question

I’m very new to all of this but I’ve managed to get my site up. However theres one thing which is wrong. The fonts I used when making the site in dreamweaver are different to the fonts which appear on the site. I’m thinking that I’ve got to upload the fonts aswell but the problem is on dreamweaver the fonts it says it’s using are “arial, helectiva, sans-serif”. I don’t have the font “helectiva” can anyone help me? Finally sorry if this is in the wrong place I wasn’t sure where to post it.

@the_treeMar 17.2005 — If you don't have a certain font then your not going to see it, you should use generic font families such as sans serif.

@poiuyMar 17.2005 — I'm a little confused on the question but when you assign the three different fonts what happens is when someone goes to your website it will simply look to see if that person has the first font. If they don't it tries the second and third.

You can't upload a font to your website that won't do anything. It's their computer that deterimes which font they see. Dreamweaver uses a combination of similar common fonts. Most people should have at least one of them.

If you're simply trying to see what helvetica looks like you need to install the font on your computer. You can search google to find what the font looks like.

I think that should be "[b]Arial[/b], [b]Helvetica[/b], sans-serif".

He is already doing that. That is what [b]"arial, helectiva, sans-serif"[/b] means. :rolleyes:
