that checks if the user has been there and if so refresh the page.

but i update it twice a week so it needs to be refreshed for the user

to see the pictures

Are there users that just stare at your webpage for two-weeks straight?

Once you update your websites pictures, any visitor that enters

your website afterwards will see the new-updated pictures.

I don't understand why you will need to resort to refreshing the users page [b]again[/b] on load.

Maybe you wanted some script to have an interval of every 5 minutes and check and see

if there are any new pictures available and if-so give the visitor a confirm popup -- "There are new pictures available, refresh page?".

so they won't know how to refresh

but when ever I go online to check the website it is the same so i have to refresh it to show new information.

so is there a javascript out there so it checks that the user has been on that page before (using cookies)

if the user has been there before it will refresh the page so the user will see the new information

and if the user has no cookie on their machine.

it will not refresh the page.
