I’m using dreamweaver and I built a template for my site, http://www.adriansd.com/ams/ams_home/AMS.htm . I want to make all the pages use the same css file…but I can’t figure out how to do that. Can someone please help this poor uneducated soul?
<i> </i><link rel="stylesheet" href="http://www.adriansd.com/ams/2col_leftNav.css" type="text/css">
http://www.adriansd.com/ams/2col_leftNav.css is there so the second one should work just fine. Try emptying you cache, restarting your browser and hitting refresh a couple of times.
*edit*
Wait, are you seeing the problem in your browser or in Dreamweaver? Let me know.
@MogauthorMar 16.2005 — #Actually...I just fixed something. in my experimenting, I tried not specifying an href and just using @import. I forgot I saved it and was looking at that. I just fixed it and pointed it at the this...and lo' and behold I tested and it worked. I must have done something wrong the first time I tried it. It still dosn't work in dreamweaver, but it look fine in IE and Netscape. ^__^;;

IIt still dosn't work in dreamweaver,
I haven't used dreamweaver since the last time it mangled my code but IIRC there is an import menu item that allows you to link to an external stylesheet...do not quote me on this as I am not sure.
@MogauthorMar 17.2005 — #Ok, this is proving to be overly difficult. Is there a way to link reltively to the root? ../ is up one level, but is there a way to do that to the root folder? If I could do that, I could take out the hassle of linking absolutely and not seeing it properly in the editor

@MogauthorMar 17.2005 — #xp...but the web is different than any os isnt it? If I did something specific to an OS it wouldn't display right on the web, would it?
