I want to be able to maintain my own site and not use a separate thing like blogspot.com that doesn't have anything to do with the current website i have. is there a program out that that would allow me to do this?

Moveable Type is also one of the main ones. As a person who uses Word Press 1.5, the comment spam handling is very good. I just need to add in the plug in for trackback spam, and I should be one happy camper.
