@IntensityMar 01.2005 — #As of right now, the click throughs to your website are not a factor in search engines.
To be deemed important in a Search Engines eyes, your website has to have quality related links that are directed toward the site. Now, if a website has alot of visitors, than this must mean: Quality links or many links around the internet that are linking to the site.
The clickthrough itself does not a play a factor in the rankings, however with recent findings, Google is starting to 'track' clickthroughs and could be a factor in future website rankings.
No official reports or papers have been written about this, so as of right now it is still fiction that clickthroughs provide higher rankings. My 2 cents.

i guess this could be right, but how do they figure out this. how could they track it
Check out the Onclick feature on the anchor tag for example. You can send a query to a destination desired. I guess computing is defiantly not an issue for the Google guys.
