links with select onchange commands

I have used the <select name onchange> commands.
The problem I run into is that the links attributed to the <option value> command are on the same page. My intention is a directory so that people can choose their topic and the relevant information is placed top of the page. I have used the file path with # , but the links do not work. Any help?

@melanie_laveryauthorMar 19.2003 — Thanks very much Pyro for the response.

However, call me what you will, but I do not know how to access the code in your message (i.e. "post you code")! I have linked to your web page, but don't know if that is where I am to go. Sorry for my confusion, hopefully it is a first time users thing!! Can you direct me please. mel

@pyroMar 19.2003 — Ummm...

Actually, what I wanted you to do was post the code that you are having problems with, so I can look at it. If you have the page uploaded to a server, a link would be fine, as well.
