Naming and targeting tables???

Now I know how to name frames and do targeting with links inside the frames. But what i’m wondering is if this can be done with tables because everytime I try to do it, it doesn’t work. Is there any difference between doing it in tables in frames, is it not possible, or is it the same and i’m just not doing it right? Plz help.

@PeOfEoFeb 23.2005 — No, it is not possible to have a target attribute point to a table. This is because a separate url cannot open within a table. The table is not designed for it, the table is designed for tabular data. Also, even if you could do this, it would not be something that I would advise doing because it would not be semantically correct.

ps: I suggesting useing neither frames nor tables nor image maps for the layout of a website.

@Robert_WellockFeb 23.2005 — Fragment identifiers are your next best bet but they aren't frames.
