MS Access Databases

Hey everyone. Is it possible to link an MS Access Database to a webpage? And if so , how? Also, with that same page would I be able to retrieve information from my MS Access Database on the fly, or am I thinking more along the lines of MySql and PHP? Thanks in advance!

@ray326Feb 17.2005 — You could do that with ASP and Access but you'd be better off doing it with PHP and MySQL. (ASP and a real database will work, too.)

@buntineFeb 17.2005 — Either way it is easy. Unless your Web Site is going to be very busy, MS Access will be fine.

The following sites have some good tutorials for ASP/MS Access database connectivity:

  • - www.asp101.com

  • - www.w3schools.com

  • - www.4guysfromrolla.com

  • If you want some more precise info about ASP database programming, come over to the ASP forum.

    Regards.
