What is considered an advanced project

HI All

I am doing my final year at University and my college professor says that we have to do an advanced web project to finish the practical project subject.

Now can someone give me ideas of websites that can be considered as
advanced.I know that this will vary from person to person but generally the site has to have a database.

Now I like PHP and MySQl so my project will definately have that but
I am not sure what can be considered as advanced.

One example that was given was amazon.com

Any other ideas.

any webcart should be aceptable, but essentialy it must handle numbers and be able to read/write to the DB dynamicly. My forum had to have a complexe peice of PHP added to evaluate membergroups via a byte used to repesent 8 binary info's(so 255 was full perms while 0 was none)...

@AdamGundryFeb 14.2005 — The meaning of "advanced" depends on your course, so I suggest you ask for some more examples of suitable sites. I don't think they expect you to develop something like amazon.com, but I would imagine a PHP-based site with several MySQL tables should suffice.

Its me again.My main problem with a project choice is that I did a

project last year as well,using MySql and PHP and CSS, it was

for a healthstore with online trading as well.

Now that was for my Diploma,and I have the same Professor that will evaluate me, so basically I am stuck to create something that is better that the previous one.
