Paragraphs In Forms into Database

ok, something bugging me here.

I press enter to enter a new line in the form, then submit it.

Go to view it, and it appears all as one sentance if you know what I mean, rather than seperate paragraphs as intended.

Any ideas why? I have the input type set to text, maybe is should be mediumtext or blob or something?
