I used it for a while...probably about...6 months or more.
I kinda liked it. It was simple for me to use since I'm mentally retarded. Some of the modules were nice.
The only problem I really had with it was the lack of support from anyone.
There was several issues I had with forum integration and avatars and all kinds of crap and it just made it so that I never wanted to use Nuke ever again. For the beginner it's a good thing, but if you don't know what you're doing, it can also be a problem at the same time when things go wrong.
www.nukecops.com is a good site that I found tons of support on different issues. You might check that out if you're having problems with it.

I don't suggest PHP Nuke for beginners.. ESP if your trying to make a template.. PHPNuke Has PHP in their template system.. I think that is crazy for a CMS to use PHP in the Template Reading System, this is why I am making my own CMS.. P.O.C.. Project Optimal COnnection.. I should have it done by the end of this year.. I would have it done right now, BUT! i keep thinking of new features to add! hahaha.. well yeah, just saying PHPnuke isnt for beginners period.
