displaying code without xmp

Hi all,

I’m updating a tutorial and I was wondering if there is any way to display code without using <xmp >. It’s deprecated and <pre > doesn’t work the same. I’ve tried using special characters but I’ve found problems with copying and pasting.

Thanks!

One time I posted some code on a message board using special characters to help someone with their HTML. They copy and pasted the code. The code posted as special characters instead of tags.

If it's possible I'd like to avoid that happening again.

Thanks anyway. ?
