I’m updating a tutorial and I was wondering if there is any way to display code without using <xmp >. It’s deprecated and <pre > doesn’t work the same. I’ve tried using special characters but I’ve found problems with copying and pasting.
@NogDogJan 26.2005 — #The only substitute I know of is to use <pre> and replace all '<' in the text with '<' (a fairly simple search/replace operation in most editors).

One time I posted some code on a message board using special characters to help someone with their HTML. They copy and pasted the code. The code posted as special characters instead of tags.
If it's possible I'd like to avoid that happening again.
