I am a developer of Java Applications for a private company. I have found that when designing a new application, must of the material available which describes how to create a good UI tends to focus on aspects that are not applicable for an application. For example, how to make your site welcoming, how much information is too much information on any given screen, etc. Where I need to know, what is the best navigation method for a web application through which a workflow is being processed, etc.

I wanted to know if other developers saw a distinction between ‘web workflow applications’ and ‘web sites’. Please let me know what you think! Thanks.
