Loading Images on the page

Hello,

I am using javascript to create a site where all the layers are loaded as the page is displayed. However, I don’t really want to display all images at once. But rather display an image based on the selection, without reloading the page or loading a new page (so it is faster) There are about 50 images so I am making the layers visible and hidden.

Is it possible to have the page load only 10-20 images and if the user makes the layer visible by selecting that option (for the remaining 30) then the image will be loaded at run time?

Is this possible using Javascript and HTML?

Thanks.

@Khalid_AliDec 30.2004 — you can do that however it will be slower as compared to preloaded images,

Just create an image object when you need and thats exactly what you asked...
