Reset the Browser’s Text Size to !00%

Hello: If it exists, what is the Code (using a Form Button Click), to Reset the Browser’s Text Size to !00% (or Medium in Internet Explorer). In other words, If the User Preset their Browser to Display Text at 120% (or Large in Internet Explorer >”top menu” View >Text Size). Thanx, MLR

@JPnycDec 17.2004 — #You can't. Set your text in your css and let the user choose. Or, you could use JS to make fontSize a % of browser or screen width or height.

@senshiDec 17.2004 — #AND! if that person is partially sighted and requires the text at 120% to view... you just alienated a surfer by reducing that font setting in the browser.

Before you shout accessability settings, think again, thats the biggest pile of crap this side of the last millenium that M$ has ever created, my partner cant use it so we have to set a larger font size in the browser.

You have to remember that the forum your playing to is very public, if you want to cater for all, you need to give a little thought that the internet is also used by the blind and partially sighted.

This is one BIG reason why I jump up and down about people changing browser settings, leave them as they are, people in general do not like their browsers settings changed or modified, unless you are going to change them back before your site is navigated away from...

Far simpler to just leave things as they are, all you need to be concerned with is if it views correctly at the resoloution that you designed it to be viewed on.

That's why I use a Default Larger BOLD Font on my Website. Senshi, I realize this is a Discussions Forum, but Please be gentle. (And I would prefer to return the User's Text Size to their Preference.
