buy PR, then quit it > effect on PR

Hi! ?

say you have a site with many inbound links, and it has a good PR. Say you want to get more PR and you decided to by some links from a highPR site.
PR increases.
After a while you decide to stop paying for links…
Will your PR drop a little? Or will it even return to it’s old PR of before? Will some PR remain?

Someone knows? :rolleyes:

@IntensityDec 23.2004 — You PR will drop if the high PR site drop the link to your site or certain links become devalued due to Google recognizing this a linking sheme of some kind.

It you don't have a permanent PR site linking to you then the PR will drop eventhough the Google toolbar does not show a change. It should be updated quartely.

@vinothDec 28.2004 — Simple in words,

you go to work, you are paid, once you stop your work , you are not paid.

similarly lies in PR too.

@Stephen_PhilbinDec 31.2004 — All search engines differ in their indexing, but generally, yeah, your PR will drop.
