sliding down menus

I am try to figure out how to do sliding menus, using a javascript. I am looking at the on at [url]http://javascript.internet.com/navigation/slide-down-menu.html,[/url] but i am not getting it to work. I am not sure why? If anyone has any ideas why please let me know.
